Using Earth Dreams technology, the new 2.5L i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine is capable of 185 hp and 181 lb.-ft. of torque, which is an 11 percent torque increase over the previous model, which provided 164 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is also lighter-weight and is paired with a continuously variable transmission to get an estimated 27 mpg* in the city and 34 mpg* on the highway.
Enhanced Safety Systems
The 2015 Honda CR-V changes made to its safety features provide even more peace-of-mind for both drivers and passengers alike! Available for the 2015 model year is the Honda Sensing suite of safety technologies, which include:
- Honda LaneWatch with lane departure warning system
- Collision Mitigation Braking system, which will automatically apply the brakes in the event of a potential accident
- Forward Collision Warning system that detects traffic in front of the vehicle
All of these features utilize Honda’s new sensor fusion technology in the form of a camera mounted on the windshield, as well as millimeter wave radar.
