We don’t have to wait much longer for the 2017 Honda CR-V redesign, which is expected to arrive sporting a complete redesign sometime during this winter. From a bold new powertrain to expanded safety technologies and upgraded body, the design team really has gone the extra mile to ensure that the 2017 CR-V continues to capture the attention of drivers around Kennewick and all across the country.
2017 CR-V Body
The new CR-V is going to stand out from the old with ease. Taking a more aggressive approach to design, the vehicle will offer a sharper front end with available Honda LED headlights, plus a Honda-first Active Shutter Grille to lower aerodynamic drag. Updated aluminum alloy wheels will add a distinctive flair while narrower A-pillars improve visibility.
The revised body will also have practical benefits thanks to a longer wheelbase. In fact, Honda is promising improved rear legroom and a larger, more versatile cargo area.
2017 CR-V Power
The body of the 2017 Honda CR-V isn’t the only thing changing — the line will also benefit from a new engine. The new model will receive the CR-V line’s first-ever turbocharged engine: a 1.5L direct-injected four-cylinder that will be able to deliver up to 190 hp alongside stunning mpg ratings.
The next CR-V will also feature a 2.4L DOHC direct-injected i-VTEC; but, no matter your choice, your engine will be hooked up to a first-rate Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
2017 CR-V Technology
Honda is known for stocking vehicles with plenty of standard and available features, so we expected some enhancements for the next-generation CR-V.
We haven’t been disappointed, with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ being made available and all the driver-assistance technologies of the Honda Sensing package included in EX trim levels and above, including
- Collision Mitigation Braking (CMBS)
- Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
- Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow
